Because a LASER is such a diverse tool, the markets you’ll find one in are diverse as well
Here are the most common ones:

Ad Specialty: Many items are imprinted via laser for the advertising industry including pens and pen boxes, assorted desk items, key fobs, maglites, laser pointers, etc.

Apparel: leather (and like materials) hats, belts, watch bands, wallets, and other clothing items can be laser engraved for some unique effects.

Awards & Recognition: From trophy plates and plaques to high end corporate awards, lasers are very often used for the manufacturing of a wide range of awards.

Architectural models:  Architects often need models of proposed projects.  Lasers are often used for the precision cutting of parts for these models.  Similar applications include model airplanes and dollhouse furniture.

Collectibles:  For identification purposes, collectors often use lasers to personalize treasured items by imprinting on display cases, jewelry boxes, etc.

Crafts: Artisans and crafters often use lasers to cut and imprint on a wide range of products including Christmas ornaments, glassware, ceramics, and custom artwork.

Scrapbooking:  Many materials used by the ever growing popular scrapbooking industry are cut with a laser.

Signage:  A variety of signs use lasers in their manufacturing process for the cutting of sign vinyl, acrylic, plastic, and wooden pieces. Additionally, engraving on a wide range of materials is used regularly in the making of signs.   ADA signage can also be produced with a laser.

Toys and Sporting Goods:  A variety of miniatures including models, puzzle pieces, and dollhouse furniture are laser cut. Additionally, game boards, balls, bats, hockey sticks, golf clubs yo-yos, and wooden items are often personalized or decorated with a laser.

Wildlife:  Fishing poles, canoe paddles, gun stocks, are a few of the items that can be enhanced via laser.  Additionally, wildlife prints sometimes have laser engraved signatures and/or declarations laser engraved on to the frame and/or glass.

Woodworking:  Woodworkers use lasers for a variety for purposes including cutting, profiling, inlay work and detailed engraving on product.
